New acquisitions

Every year, the KØS Museum of art in public spaces acquires a quantity of sketches, models, and other preliminary studies for art in the public space. The acquisitions reflect the sheer diversity of art projects that now form part of the category ”art in the public space”. They range from full-sized sketches and cartoons for murals in churches and universities to models of sculptures placed in the new correctional facility Statsfængsel Østjylland. And from models of classical water features placed in the middle of city squares to temporary social intervention projects such as Thomas FOS Poulsen’s Osloo Bar.
